FAACT - Families Against Abusive Chiropractic Treatments

Will you help us put an end to chiropractic abuse?

As a non-profit organization, all costs associated with operating FAACT are borne by the founders and friends who have generously contributed. We receive no government or other institutional financial support whatsoever.

However, to continue to effectively maintain our operations involving the on-going investigation and public education surrounding abusive chiropractic treatments we are seeking public financial support to assist us in our advocacy on behalf of families and victims.

Every donation can make a big difference in our pioneering role to make governments, the public and the media more aware of abusive chiropractic treatments and to prevent these abuses.

All contribution received will go towards helping to defray expenses for FAACT'S 2005 Public Information Campaign. these initiatives include:

An advisory to chiropractors warning of the dangers of high neck manipulation and the potential consequences.
Contacts with key national media encouraging investigation into chiropractic abuses.
Maintenance and updating of our website: www.faact.com
Letters to the Federal Health Minister and to Provincial Health Minister seeking support for a moratorium on high neck manipulation until a federally appointed Scientific Review Panel assesses the risks involved in high neck manipulations and other questionable chiropractic procedures, including the treatment of children.
On-going lobbying of provincial and federal elected officials to create a greater awareness of the risks involved with certain chiropractic procedures and support for the moratorium.
Appearances and demonstrations by FAACT at various high-visibility events to educate individuals and groups about chiropractic abuses.
Exploring the legal implications of chiropractic abuse with a view towards launching a class-action lawsuit.
